US first Lady Jill Biden Contracts COVID-19, President Joe Biden Remains Unaffected.

In an unexpected twist of events, the United States First Lady, Jill Biden, has tested positive for COVID-19 just days before President Joe Biden’s upcoming diplomatic mission to the Group of 20 (G20) summit in India.

The White House officially confirmed this concerning development on Monday, emphasizing that President Biden has tested negative for the virus.

At the age of 72, Mrs. Biden exhibited mild symptoms due to the infection, having previously battled COVID-19 in August of the previous year.Elizabeth Alexander, the First Lady’s communications director, released a statement, stating,

“This evening, the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19. She will be isolating at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

“On Monday evening, President Biden returned to Washington alone from Delaware and promptly underwent a COVID-19 test in response to his wife’s diagnosis. Fortunately, the test results came back negative.

The White House has affirmed that the President will continue to undergo regular testing throughout the week and will closely monitor any potential symptoms.

While the White House has refrained from immediate comments regarding the impact of the First Lady’s diagnosis on President Biden’s foreign travel plans, the official schedule for the upcoming week, released after the announcement, still indicates that the President is scheduled to travel to New Delhi for the G20 summit on Thursday, followed by his anticipated departure for Hanoi on Sunday.
