NIGERIA SENATE, SHARE MONEY AMONG SENATORS AFTER MOCKING THE POOR MASSES

Wednesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio made an announcement, stating that senators had been provided funds through the National Assembly clerk for their holiday expenses.Just before the motion to adjourn was presented,

Akpabio informed his colleagues without knowing He was on a live broadcast on a national TV, about this financial arrangement, revealing that the National Assembly clerk had transferred money into their individual bank accounts.

It remains uncertain whether it is considered a standard practice internationally for the clerk of the house to distribute funds to legislators.

Subsequently, Akpabio reversed his stance on the holiday allowance and instead conveyed that the Senate President had sent out prayers to their email addresses, aiming to ensure their well-being during the vacation period.

“In order to facilitate an enjoyable holiday period for all of us, a modest amount has been transferred to our respective accounts by the clerk of the national assembly, “Akpabio stated before pausing, seemingly realizing HE WAS ON NATIONAL TV”
